The Association for Psychological Science (APS) psychology conference is held from May 25-28, 2023. Many of us are trying to get more continuing ed credits. This conference has a ton of great continuing ed opportunities in a fun and historic city.
Trainings range from statistics forums to theory behind new and existing therapies. Additional intriguing talks on cutting edge research and concepts rounds out many APS conference events. Most states allow these trainings to apply to multiple degrees in mental health, not just psychology (check your individual state boards)!
Pros: Many of the trainings at APS are based on cutting edge research and are very high quality. They are especially beneficial to research-oriented clinicians, researchers, or those seeking new info in highly specialized areas. Trainings are typically led by individuals with some pretty impressive credentials and experience.
Limits: Many topics at this psychology conference overall are highly theoretical and, at times (though not always), there is less discussion of applications to clinical practice.
A great conference in a great city. And for clinicians out there who like to explore the city a conference is in more than the conference itself, this one ain’t bad.
